We met another American, named Kate, through one of my coworkers. She lives and works in Munich and spends some of her free time rock-climbing. We went in to visit her, check out her rock climbing gym, and attend Oktoberfest together. Her gym, DAV Kletterzentrum, boasts the most climbing area in Europe. We climbed outside, protected from the drizzle by roof overhangs.
